Terms of service

Early-access service

Toneborne generates AI audio from text. Review audio for pronunciation, accuracy and suitability before publication. Generation times depend on available capacity; the service does not guarantee immediate output.

Your account and content

Keep your account password and API keys private. Submit only content and recordings you have rights to use. Do not use the service for impersonation, deceptive recordings, or other unlawful activity. Voice uploads require the speaker’s permission.

Characters and payment

Each account receives one million free characters per calendar month in UTC. Unused free allowance does not carry over. Purchased characters do not expire. A generation reserves characters when submitted; failed jobs are refunded automatically.

Pay-as-you-go costs $5 per million, with purchases starting at ten million characters. Studio costs $500 for one month, $2,850 for six months, or $5,400 for one year, plus $3 per million characters. Studio does not include purchased character packs. Both plans retain the free monthly allowance.

Payments use USD bank transfers against account invoices. Purchases are applied only after the transfer is verified. Studio starts on verified payment; renewing extends an existing term. Membership does not renew automatically. Clicking “I’ve sent the bank transfer” is not proof of payment.

Voice cloning

Cloning is not yet active. Voice samples may be uploaded free of charge and remain pending review. When available, Studio will include up to five clones per month and pay-as-you-go cloning will cost $50 per voice. No clone fee is charged for current sample uploads.

Downloads

Generated audio is available for seven days. Download and store your finished work before it expires. You are responsible for reviewing generated audio and for how you publish it.
